A cartridge past its date does less than no filter at all, because what it caught is now sitting in the flow. We change them on any system, including ones we didn't install, and write the next date on the housing.

What's bothering you about the water
Taste, smell, sediment, staining on the fixtures, or tank water you'd rather not gamble on. Each one points at a different filter, and the wrong one is money for nothing.

We look at where it can go
Under the sink is simplest. Whole-house means a spot near where the water comes in, with room to change a cartridge without emptying the cupboard.

Priced before we start
The unit, the install and the first set of cartridges, agreed with you before anything is cut.

Fitted with isolation, and a date on it
Isolation valves so a cartridge change doesn't mean shutting off the house. We write the change date on the housing, because nobody remembers otherwise.
