Why we built this
Before the truck rolls.
Half the calls we get start with "is this an emergency?" - and the honest answer is often no. A dripping tap can wait for a convenient booking; a gas smell absolutely cannot. This gives you the same answer we'd give you on the phone: the likely cause, the real urgency, and the one or two things worth doing before a tradesman arrives.
It covers the twenty-odd symptoms behind most of our call-outs across plumbing, drains, gas, hot water, roofing and air conditioning. It isn't a diagnosis - some faults need eyes on - but it will stop you paying emergency rates for a non-emergency, and stop you sleeping on something dangerous.
